The Carson deal was an excellent solution for Villa, Liverpool and Carson.

Could be, all I can find is that the deal cost around £2m with no mention of wages. I read at the time that the deal has an option of making it permanent but Rafa said he didn't want to sell him when it was happening. So from Villa's point of view, even if it is just the fee, they are getting a keeper they normally wouldn't get as Liverpool wouldn't sell.

Not if Reina gets injured itt wasnt!

We on top of the table at this stage-nice to see - early days but better to be top than not! Think Mourinho was right after Villa match when he said the top teams will drop more points as the cahsing pack have spent a fair bit this summer too! Cant help but feel cheated that we should have 100% record!

When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence?
I think not.

Agree, teams are gonna find it extremmly difficult to go to places like Villa Park, Ewood, Upton Park and pompy and expect to come away with all 3 pts as the standard has definately improved with the influx of all the extra money. No doubt this seasons premiership will be the hardest to win and will continue to get harder in future seasons.
