Is LT in a position to dictate such terms though realistically? That sideways shuffle for 1 yard gains might suggest, no.
Maybe you'd like to rethink that?? http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-free-agency/09000d5d816f299e/L-T-to-the-JetsJets released Thomas Jones and picked up LT. If he stays fit he'll have another 1000 yard season behind that offense line, in a team thats dedicated to the run, unlike Norv Turners San Diego. In all honesty, I was unimpressed with the Jets RB's. Their stats say they have the best line, but very little to show for it in terms of actually putting scores on the board. LT can change all that. Nope I still don't have much hope for this move. With Washington not 100% and LT hit and miss Greene will have to carry a lot of the slack I reckon. I hope he can prove me wrong BUT as a Jets fan I'm naturally pessimistic. As for the Quinn move, I like it and I think Mangini has been once again raped. I still think a guy like Quinn could become a good QB given the right circumstances.

Only changed for playoff games, right?
Denver have come out and said that Orton is the starter, Quinn is the back up.
I dont rate Shonn Greene all that much. He'll have a couple of good seasons, nothing spectacular - then fade into a 2nd stringer somewhere.
If LT has a 1000 yard season - he'll jump from 8th all time rusher to 4th in one go, behind Emitt Smith, Barry Sanders and I think Walter Payton. At a stretch he may even end up 3rd.

Yeah, its just for playoffs for now. I think they won't do it for regular season games due to the TV coverage.

I think that was stupid of Pittsburgh. Holmes was getting better year after year. Unless, they know something the Jets don't.

Its because of his off-field antics, not that its any secret....and Big Ben is about to get a severe talking to as well. I emailed this to a mate of mine who's a steelers fan. Various quotes on the trade as to why it was done.
Newly acquired Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes was suspended Monday without pay by the NFL for the first four regular-season games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
Holmes is coming off his best season, with 79 catches for 1,248 yards and five touchdowns. But he is also facing a lawsuit in Florida from a woman who claims he threw a glass at her, cutting her above the eye, in an Orlando nightclub. A witness has since taken responsibility, according to Holmes' lawyer.
Besides the incident in Florida, Holmes was arrested in 2008 for possession of marijuana. He was also involved in a domestic violence incident in 2006; the misdemeanor charges were dismissed.

I knew about Ben's antics, but didn't realize his. Well, don't blame them then. Why are pro athletes such dumb****s?

Nobby, whats your take on Ryan Mathews as the RB pick for the Bolts in the 1st round? Personally, I thought you guys would have gone for Toby Gerhart, who a lot of media folks on the west coast absolutely drooled over last season. Our pick on defense seems to be good. One thing lacking in our game last season was pass-rush protection for Rodgers and I hope this new guy brings it. Of course, we still need one or 2 more folks to add to that O-line.

Chargers were always after Matthews. I think it was a concensus that he was the second best RB in the draft, and there was no way Spiller was going to be around by the time SD got to choose. Hadnt heard much of Gerhart as it was always Spiller, Matthews and Jahvid Best.
I can see how they prefer Matthews because hes a bit bigger, solid and is an all down back that runs up the middle. Perfect for Norvs rediculous unimaginative run calls.
